According to the Twelfth census of the United States taken in the city of Lowell,Ma in the 6 day of June 1900. Louis Godu Lived at 182 Tremont Street Lowell Ma.Immigrated to the u.s. in 1866 was 34 years in the country was an Alien,was unemployed for 4 month ,Could read write and Speak english and was head of houshold rented the house in which he lived.He was 42 years old Born in Canada January 1858,was a widower and was married for 18 years. Living with him was a Daughter juanita Born april 1884 was 16 years old was attending high school. A son Leo 10 years old born march 1890,was attending grammar school.Also living with him was his inlaws Godfrey,Celina and Wilhelmine Moge.
In 1901 Louis Married Angelina Cotu And lived in Lowell Ma. According to the City of lowell Directory June 1905 they moved to Worcester Ma. April 1906 Angelina Goddu is living in Lowell Ma.Louis was not listed. According to my father they were seperated.I Then find Louis living alone on Livermoor St. in 1910 I am assuming he is our Louis Goddu. It seems He moved back from Worcester Ma.
